After a week relaxing in Spain, we loaded up the bikes and rode back to Santander to board the ferry—our 30-hour “cruise” to Portsmouth.

We docked at 5:30pm and split the ride home with an overnight stop in Alton. Warm sunshine greeted us both off the ferry and again the next morning as we pedalled the final leg to Bracknell

It’s hard to believe we were away for a month—cycling, eating, drinking, and soaking it all in. We agreed that if the sun’s shining and you don’t have any commitments , wherever you are in the world feels more appealing. That said, the route we took through England, France, and Spain certainly made it something special.
